After a record-breaking summer season across the Atlantic, Delta Airlines is set to offer its customers even more opportunities to explore coveted global destinations in the upcoming year by expanding its transatlantic schedule. From key hubs across the United States, travelers will have the option to select from historically rich Naples, Italy; the verdant landscapes of Shannon, Ireland; the picturesque vistas of Zurich, Switzerland; and a host of other remarkable locales.

Customers planning their overseas summer sojourns will discover an array of inspiring choices, coupled with the premium services and amenities that Delta patrons have come to expect and appreciate.”

New York-JFK Hub: Gateway to Europe, Africa, and the Middle East

Commencing from New York’s JFK International Airport, Delta’s status as the largest carrier to Europe, Africa, and the Middle East from this hub will be further solidified with the operation of nearly 260 weekly flights during the upcoming summer season, serving 18 countries and 29 destinations across the region.

Delta’s Inaugural Service to Naples and Revival of Shannon

In an inaugural offering, Delta will establish nonstop service from JFK to the historic city of Naples, Italy, which serves as a gateway to the renowned Amalfi coast and iconic landmarks such as Mount Vesuvius. Commencing on May 23, 2024, this daily service to Naples will complement Delta’s existing routes to Milan, Venice, and Rome.

Moreover, Delta will reinitiate flights to Shannon, Ireland, from JFK, commencing on May 23, 2024. This nonstop service, previously operated in 2019, will join Delta’s existing routes to Dublin, including recently announced service to the Irish capital from Minneapolis-Saint Paul.

Delta Airlines’ Schedule Expansion to Munich and Exclusive Morning Departure to Paris

Adding to the spectrum of trans-Atlantic offerings from JFK next summer, Delta will introduce a nonstop flight to Munich, operating three times weekly, commencing on April 9, 2024.

An interesting note: Delta stands as the sole airline providing a morning departure from JFK to Paris.

Atlanta Hub: Enhancing Connections to Europe

For those departing from Atlanta, Delta will once again offer nonstop business class to Zurich, Switzerland, four times weekly, commencing on May 31, 2024, augmenting the existing portfolio of nearly 180 weekly flights to 21 destinations spanning Europe, Africa, and the Middle East from the airline’s home base.

Delta passengers can also anticipate increased flight frequencies from Atlanta to Paris and to Venice during the summer, as the airline enhances its weekly services to these top-tier destinations.

Los Angeles Hub: Year-Round Service to Auckland and Shanghai Resumption

Meanwhile, on the western coast of the United States, Delta’s daily nonstop flight from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to Auckland, New Zealand, initiated on October 28, 2023, will transition to year-round service, operating daily from November to March and three times weekly from April to October. Furthermore, Delta will expand its service from LAX to Sydney, Australia, with twice-daily flights commencing in December.

Following the winter service to Shanghai from Seattle and Detroit, Delta will recommence four-times-weekly, year-round service to Shanghai-Pudong International Airport from its Los Angeles hub, starting on March 31, 2024. This previously established route will enable Delta passengers to seamlessly connect to numerous other cities in China through the airline’s partnership with China Eastern Airlines.

Delta’s Wide International Reach from LAX

Delta presently serves 13 international cities from LAX, including Paris, London, Tokyo-Haneda, and Sydney, with the added convenience of a newly completed Delta Sky Way facility at LAX.

More Flights to Customer-Favorite Destinations Next Summer

For Delta One Business Class customers, there’s more good news on the horizon. Next summer, the airline will be introducing additional flights to some of the most favored destinations, including increased flights to Paris from Cincinnati and Detroit, additional business class services to Barcelona from JFK, Reykjavik from Detroit, and Athens from Boston.
